I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again : I love outdoor weddings. This perfect day, set amongst the green backdrop of Exmoor National Park, was no exception. There’s something so special about celebrating under a canopy of trees, with the crunch of leaves underfoot and a chorus of birdsong. I think I’m going to try something different with Audrey & Eric’s brilliant wedding. There was so much going on all day, something boring and chronological doesn’t seem to do it all justice.

Nothing makes me happier than a little bit of tall grass, a little bit of wilderness. And it doesn’t get any better than the New Forest.
A few weeks ago I headed down there for Kim & Chris’ engagement shoot – I’d never been before and it was all a little bit magic. (And hats off to these two for trudging through the mud for the photos. It was so worth it. x)

Sometimes you come home from shooting a wedding and, even though your feet hurt and your legs ache, you’re smiling from ear to ear because it was just that kind of day. All weddings should be this much fun. All brides should laugh as much as Nicole did. All wedding guests should be transported via tractor at least once. I reckon, anyway.
From the humanist handfasting ceremony under a canopy of trees, to the ice-cream van and space hoppers, Nicole and Tom did things their way. And it was brilliant.
