WEDDINGS // Sarah & Sam’s Olde Bell Marlow Wedding

Olde Bell Marlow Rustic Wedding_036-WEB

You may have already seen this wedding on Love My Dress, both in a separate feature and as part of Love My Dress’s Best of 2013 Roundup (wahoo!).  In fact, I don’t know why it’s taken so long for me to blog it myself – I absolutely loved Sarah & Sam’s wedding. I love the understated elegance, I love the hints of rustic wilderness. I love how Sarah’s bouquet had eucalyptus in it so that everywhere she went there was a scrummy, calming scent that followed.

Thank you so, so, SO much Sarah & Sam for letting me be a small part of your big day xx

WEDDING // Emily & Gerald’s Fun Country Wedding

Emily Gerald Countryside Wedding_058-WEB

Let me take you back to last summer, when Emily married Gerald.

There were cakes (all homemade, by Emily. So impressed) and there were games; there was a lot of laughter, and hugs, and happy tears. There was a lot of beautiful countryside and open skies.  Emily looked beautiful – the quintessential English rose -and Gerald could not stop smiling all day.

A big thank you to Cristina Rossi for seconding on this one, and I can’t thank Emily & Gerald enough for having us along.  It was such a blast to photograph and you guys were so lovely to work with!  xxxx

WEDDING // Melina & David’s Westminister Palace Wedding

London Wedding Photographer, Westminister Palace Wedding_055-WEB

Last summer I got to photograph in an actual palace. Westminster Palace, no less.

You might remember Melina & David from one of my favourite engagement shoots of all time.  Well, last summer they got married, and I was lucky enough to be there to photograph their day.  The ceremony took place in the crypt at the Houses of Parliament. When I first went down to have a reccie it took my breath away – what an incredible place. A world away from the hubub of London outside.  Melina looked amazing. I’m pretty sure there was an audible gasp as she started to walk down the aisle and David could not look any happier when he saw her.

Thank you to Emilie for seconding on this one, and a big big big BIG thank you to Melina & David for being the most wonderful people to work with and for letting me be a small part of their utterly gorgeous day! xxxx

WEDDING // Marina & Steve’s 1920s Cowley Manor Wedding

Cowley Manor 1920s Wedding_040-WEBSITEI tell you what, this wedding from the summer was one fun day to photograph.  Fab couple.  Brilliant details. Fun crowd. Lots of dancing.

Marina looked super gorgeous in her Jenny Packham gown and Rodarte star headpiece and I loved all the Russian traditions she and Steve incorporated into the day (tables named after Lenin and Gorbachev? Hilarious.  Toasting each speech with a shot of Vodka? Amazing.). I think my favourite part of the day had to be the evening though. It got a little messy on the dancefloor, but I reckon that’s how all weddings should be, no?

Thank you so much to Cristina Rossi for seconding and thank you SO SO much to Marina & Steve for having me along.  It was a total blast to be part of!

michelle waspe - brilliant work, Kat!! What a stylish wedding and I am totally in love with that wedding dress! Fantastic shots :-) xxJanuary 28, 2014 – 1:19 pm
