WEDDING // Rosie & Frank’s Stationer’s Hall Wedding

London summer weddings really are brilliant things.  The days are long, you’re surrounded by the best city in the world and there’s so much choice out there, no two weddings are the same.

Rosie I think has got to be the most calm bride I’ve ever met, or at least, if she was even a tiny bit nervous she hid it well.  Calm, gracious and smiling despite the flurry of activity around her as she was getting ready, I think it really set the tone for a gorgeously relaxed and beautiful day.  I also love how Frank spent the morning of his wedding day watching the final fixture of Australia vs Lions. As a rugby fan, I thoroughly approve.

This chicest of chic City weddings was co-ordinated by the brilliant Andri of Always Andri Wedding Design who, despite the crazy heat of a mid-summer heatwave, made it all look so effortless and easy.  In fact, a lot of brilliant suppliers came together to bring this day together – a full list is at the bottom of the post – but special shout outs need to go to Make Up Artist Ana Ospina and Yuki from LoveHair for making the utterly beautiful Rosie even more so.   Also to Blue Sky Flowers for the beautiful blooms, Anges de Sucre for the most incredibly scrummy macarons, and to Cristina Rossi for seconding.

A big thank you to Rosie and Frank for having me along to capture their day!

WEDDING // Mollie & Tony’s Hackney Wedding

This wedding was ruddy lovely.   Visually, it was an absolute treat – Mollie seriously looked amazing (she reminded me of one of those old school Hollywood actresses that you sadly don’t see any more) and Tony so properly dapper. And I don’t know how long they spent on all the details they laid on at The Londesborough though I imagine there were a fair few nights in front of the telly doing wedding DIY – it all looked so brill.   The day itself was a a proper celebration, the kind that you don’t want to have to pack up your bags and leave.  Thank you SO much for having me along Mollie & Tony, you guys are ace.

If you want to read about Mollie’s planning in the run up to her wedding, she’s been writing a blog over on the Stylist wedding blog.

WEDDING // JESS & GRAHAM

One day in June, Graham married Jess and it was the most wonderful thing to be part of.  It was a truly beautiful wedding; beautiful inside and out. Not only did everything and everyone look wonderful but Jess & Graham are just the warmest, kindest and most genuinely lovely people.  There was sunshine, there were tears, there were big beaming smiles and lots and lots of hugs.   Before leaving, I remember battling my way through a heaving dancefloor to say goodbye and found Jess and Graham with their arms wrapped around each other, eyes full of happy tears, oblivious to the world around them, so thrilled to be Just Married.  That’s my favourite memory of the whole day.

A big thank you to Heidi Veitz for seconding and a massive thank you to Jess and Graham for having us along.  I know you’ll have many, many happy years together.

PERSONAL // Escape

Two days.
No telephone.
No electricity.
One single dirt track.
One wood burning stove, eight rashers of bacon and six freshly laid eggs.
A single, badly-chosen lens.
All the time in the world.
