WEDDING // Vicky & Sam’s City Winter Wedding

LONDON CITY WINTER WEDDING - LONDON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Vicky & Sam got married in the heart of the City on a late December’s day.

WEDDING // Jane & Ben’s Winter Tipi Wedding

Winter tipi wedding south coast

When I first sat down with Jane and Ben in a bar in South East London, and they told me of their wedding plans – a tipi, in December – I have to admit, I wasn’t quite sure how it would work out.  December weddings are dark at the best of times, and though we photographers have the equipment to cope with it, the lack of light does come with it’s own set of challenges.  So throw in a candlelit 5-tipi construction on a weekend that barely saw a break in the rain, and things had the potential to get a little bit interesting.

And yes, it was dark. And yes, it was raining. And yes, the tipi was slowly starting to sink into the ground.  But I needn’t have worried, because it was beautiful. Cosy, joyful, fun and so, so beautiful.

A big thank you to Cristina Rossi for seconding on this one, and a massive THANK YOU to Jane and Ben for the most wonderful day.  It was immense.

Charlotte Bryer-Ash - Wow what a beautiful wedding Kat! I love the details you have captured, and I love the fact that the tipi has a front door! You wouldn’t have known it was raining from these images, they are fab! xxJanuary 29, 2013 – 5:07 pm

LONDON WEDDING EMPORIUM (aka New Year, New Adventures)

London wedding emporium London wedding fair

SO, just in case you don’t follow me on FB or twitter, just to let you know that I’m organising a little wedding fair on the 2/3 March with fellow photographer Caro Hutchings.

It’s called the London Wedding Emporium and it’s in the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane.

We’ve got fab frocks and fun photo booths, super cute bow ties and creative caterers, glittery things and lots of scrumminess.  It’s all about you and the people who are going to make your day special.  No gimmicks, nothing fancy. No hard sales, no pushy tactics. Just a chance to chat, discover, laugh and enjoy the process of organising one of the most important days of your life.

You should come down, it’s going to be a good one :)

WEDDING // Lucy & Mike’s Winter Eastbourne Wedding

Awww, Lucy and Mike are just the loveliest couple and you know something? Now that the wedding’s over I miss Lovely Lucy’s emails dropping into my inbox now and again (she always managed to make me laugh! Must be the kiwi sense of humour :)).

The incredible coral dress was designed by Lucy herself, her sister’s bridesmaids’ dresses were made in New Zealand, the fur capes were made by Lucy’s mum, the cake topper was crafted by Lucy’s sister…a lot of love went into this wedding and I can totally see why. These guys are ace.  I’m so happy the sun came out for them.
